  • I need to add a Xerox copier to my computer
  • How do I connect to the new copier?

Resolution

Note: Your department's copier should be installed on your computer automatically. Try printing to the copier before following any of the steps below. After connecting, print a test page to confirm the setup worked.

Windows 11

In most cases, your department's Xerox copier appears automatically in your Printers & scanners list. If it doesn't:

  1. Find your copier's name on the sticker attached to the copier.
  2. Click the Search icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
  3. Type \\xprint\ followed by the copier name (for example, \\xprint\CopierName).
    • Use the backslash ( \ ), not the forward slash ( / ).
  4. Select the copier in the search results to connect.
  5. Print a test page to confirm the copier is working.

macOS

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Select Applications in the left sidebar.
  3. Double-click Self Service to open it.
  4. Select Xerox Printers on the left side of the Self Service window.
  5. Your department's copier will appear automatically. Click Install.
  6. Print a test page to confirm the copier is working.

Copier accounting codes (macOS only): If you use a copier accounting code, you'll need to manually add the code to your device.
