Set Up Voicemail on MiCollab Softphone
You can set up your voicemail on the MiCollab Softphone on your mobile device (iPhone, iPad & Android) and computer (Mac & Windows). Please make sure you have downloaded the MiCollab Softphone application and you're signed in before you begin.
Steps
- Call your University telephone number and let the call go to voicemail.
- When the default voicemail greeting plays, press the * (star) key.
a. Create a passcode
i. Press 8 for user options
ii. Press 7 to set a passcode
iii. Enter 4 to 10 digit passcode
b. Record your greeting
i. Press 8 for user options
ii. Press 4 to record a greeting
iii. Press 7 to review your greeting
iv. Press 9 to save your greeting or 3 to re-record your greeting
c. Record your name
i. Press 8 for user options
ii. Press 6 to record your first name
iii. Press 7 to review your recording
iv. Press 9 to save your recording or 3 to re-record your name
- You have now set up your MiCollab Soft phone voicemail.
Access MiCollab Softphone Voicemail
After you receive an unanswered phone call to your MiCollab Softphone, the caller has the option to leave you a voicemail message. You can access your MiCollab Softphone voicemail by following the steps below.
Steps
- Open the MiCollab Application.
- Click the Voicemail tab on the left side of the screen.
- When prompted, enter your mailbox PIN and click Verify.
- Click the voicemail that you want to listen to.
- Click the play icon to listen to the voicemail.
Reset Your MiCollab Softphone Mailbox PIN
You have the option to reset your MiCollab Softphone mailbox pin.
Steps
- Open the MiCollab Application.
- Click Settings and then Voicemail Settings.
- Click Change Mailbox PIN.
- Enter your current mailbox PIN.
- Enter your new mailbox PIN and confirm it.
- Click Save.
Note
- Your mailbox PIN for MiCollab softphone is not the same as the mailbox PIN for your University telephone. Your default mailbox PIN is provided in an email from donotreply@vmas-37.hosted.voipnetworks.com with the subject “[External] Welcome to your new MiCollab settings.”
