Description

Starting Summer of 2025, JMP Pro has been replaced on campus by JMP Student. JMP Student provides all the same functionality of JMP Pro, but requires that each member of the University, staff or student, go through a once-a-year verification check to ensure you are an enrolled or employed member of the institution.

JMP Student is not authorized for usage on personal work or projects unaffiliated with Duquesne University curriculum or duties.

Steps

If have not used JMP Student before, start here. Otherwise, proceed to Application Install:

Go to https://jmp.com/student
Click on Get JMP for Free!
Read the four step directions presented and click on Get Started at My JMP
Enter your university email address
An email will be sent to your "@duq" email address with a code to copy back into the portal
If prompted, enter your Full Name
If prompted, read and accept the terms of usage
Enter all the required information about your usage (whether Student, Teacher, or Research)
- For University enter: Duquesne University
- For address enter: 600 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15282
On the next page, click Start to begin institution verification
Enter Duquesne University in the box and select the university name that appears in the drop down
You will be taken to our sign in portal. Sign in with your Multipass User and Password
Your activation is now complete

Installing JMP Student Application

To Install JMP Student on a University Managed Windows Device:

Open Software Center on your device
Enter JMP Student into the search bar
Click on the JMP Student Application and then click Install
- (Installation time may vary but can take up to 15 mins.)
