Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free software application developed by Adobe Inc. that allows users to view, store, print, and share PDF (Portable Document Format) files. It is commonly used across the University for accessing course materials, forms, official documents, and other PDF-based content.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is intended for Faculty, Staff and Students who need reliable access to PDF documents for academic or administrative purposes.

Note: Acrobat Reader does not allow you to edit PDF files. To edit PDFs, you must purchase Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Faculty/Staff

On Duquesne-owned computers Adobe Reader can be installed through software management tools on your machine. 

  • Software Center (Windows)
  • Self Service (Mac)

Student and Personally Owned Computers

Students and individuals using personally owned computers can download Adobe Acrobat Reader directly from Adobe’s website: Download Adobe Acrobat Reader: Free PDF viewer

Requirements
