Microsoft Office Web Applications

Issue 

• Access Microsoft Office applications in a web browser
• Open Word, Excel, PowerPoint online without desktop installation
• Login to Microsoft 365 and launch apps from browser

Environment

• Web Browser

Resolution 

Open application from email

1. Open a web browser
2. Go to duq.edu/mail and sign in with your Duquesne email address
3. Once logged in, locate the app launcher (grid icon in the top-left corner)
4. Select the desired application:
   • Microsoft Word
   • Microsoft Excel
   • Microsoft PowerPoint
5. The selected application will open in a new browser tab
6. Choose one of the following:
   a. Select Blank document/workbook/presentation to create new content
   b. Select a recent file from the home screen
   c. Click Upload and open to use an existing file
