MS Calendar Sync Issues

The out-of-sync calendar view is usually caused by caching issues in your Outlook client.  There are a few different ways to fix this, but the quickest and most reliable is to create a new Outlook profile in your Outlook client.

1. Close Outlook: Ensure Outlook is completely closed.
2. Open Mail Setup: Click the Windows Start button, type "Control Panel" and open it. In the search bar at the top right of the Control Panel, type "Mail" and select the Mail (Microsoft Outlook) icon.

1. Add New Profile: In the Mail Setup dialog box, click Show Profiles.

1. Name the Profile: Click Add, type a descriptive name for your new profile in the Profile Name box, and click OK.  (This can be any name like "loughnerm1" or "outlook test", it doesn't matter as long as you know which one is the new one)

1. Add Email Account: Follow the on-screen prompts to add your email address and password for the new profile.  (You should just be able to click Next and add your mailbox)
2. Set as Default: In the "Show Profiles" list, select Always use this profile and select your new profile from the dropdown menu to make it the default.  (This is an optional step.  If you don't select a profile, then Outlook will ask you to choose the profile when you open it.  You may not want to select the default until you are sure the new profile is working.)

Once you complete the steps, then you can open Outlook (and choose your new profile, if you didn't set it as the default) and your mailbox should start populating.  It will start slower than usual the first time and can take some time for all of the email to download into the new profile.  You may have to re-add shared calendars if they don't automatically populate, but you can use your old profile as a reference.  After giving it 10-15 minutes to load, you can then take a look at the web versions of your calendars and see if they match.
