Duquesne-managed Device: Software Updates

Issue 

  • My software is out of date and needs updates
  • How do I update applications on my Duquesne computer?
  • I need to install approved software on my university machine

Environment

  • Windows OS
  • MacOS

Resolution 

Windows

  1. Search for and open the Software Center application on your Duquesne-owned Windows machine.
  2. Select the Updates tab on the left-hand side.
  3. Review the list of applications with pending updates, shown on the right.
  4. Click Install All to run the available updates.

macOS

  1. Search for and open the Self Service application on your Duquesne-owned Apple machine.
  2. In Self Service, review the list of available applications in the menu on the right. Any application with a pending update will display an Update option.
  3. Click Update to install the pending update.
