I Got A New Phone - How Do I Enroll It In Duo?

Body

Issue

When you install Duo Mobile on a phone, the software registers with that specific phone. When you move to a new phone, even if you keep the same phone number and move all of your settings, Duo will no longer recognize your device and be able to receive Push notifications with it. This article explains how you can activate Duo on a new phone and receive Pushes with it.

Resolution

  1. Sign in to Dori
  2. On the left-hand sidebar, click Duo Device Management
  3. On the Duo Device Management page, you will be asked to select an authentication method:
    • If you still have access to the old device, you can use Send Me A Push
    • If you no longer have access to your old device, try using a phone call to authenticate.
    • Note: If you are unable to authenticate with any of the methods listed, you will have to contact the IT Service Desk or submit a Duo Service Request
      The authentication method screen
  4. After approving the authentication method, you will reach the My Settings & Devices page. Click +Add Another Device
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your new phone with Duo Mobile.
