Resolution
Install macOS Updates
macOS system updates are provided directly by Apple.
- Open the App Store.
- Select Updates.
- Install any available macOS security updates.
Note: If an update is found to be problematic or destructive, such as an unsupported operating system upgrade, CTS will block it on Duquesne-owned devices until Apple fixes the issue.
Install Third-Party Application Updates
Updates for third-party applications, such as Microsoft Office, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome, are available in Self Service.
- Open Self Service.
- Locate the available updates.
- Select Update or Install next to the application you want to update.
Note: Self Service only displays updates for third-party applications that are already installed on your device.
Additional Information
- If an application installed on your computer has a known security risk, CTS may apply an update automatically. If you need to take any action after the update, such as restarting an app, a pop-up message will appear.
