How to Create an IT Project Request (Any DU employee can request)

  1. Anyone can visit & login to services.duq.edu to place a request: https://services.duq.edu/TDClient/30/Portal/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=311

 

  1. Click the Request Project button and complete the simple request form and click submit.

To initiate an IT Project Request for a new Solution, Application, Service, Process, or any IT-related initiative (including knowledge of, single sign-on, data needs, technology requirements, project management, etc.) that either involves IT or requires CTS management or participation, please follow the streamlined process outlined below:

  1. Submit Your Request
    • Utilize the designated Project Request form.
    • Include all relevant details and requirements.
  2. Internal Review
    • The CTS Project & Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) will commence an internal review within 5 business days of your submission.
  3. Information Gathering
    • Expect a prompt response from the PPMO.
    • A 30-minute Zoom call will be scheduled to gather additional information and insights.
  4. Official IT Project Request
    • Following the Zoom call, an official IT Project Request will be created.
  5. Comprehensive Review
    • The IT Project Request will undergo thorough examination.
    • Evaluation will involve IT Managers and Project Managers.
    • If necessary, the CTS Project Planning Team will conduct an additional review on the second Wednesday of each month.
    • Final approval will be sought from CTS Leadership.
  6. Financial Review (If Applicable)
    • In case funding is requested, there will be an additional step for financial review.
