Virtual private network
A virtual private network (VPN) extends a private network, such as Duquesne's on-campus network, across a public network, such as the internet. Duquesne's VPN allows employees to send and receive data across public networks as if their computer was connected to the campus network. Applications running while connected to the VPN service benefit from the functionality, security and management of Duquesne's internal network.
VPN access is only available for University employees. You will need to use VPN on your University-managed computer to remotely access the following resources:
- Banner Admin Pages
- Banner Document Management (BDM)
- Cognos
- DU Photo Roster
- Internal shared drives (ex. Einstein, CIFS)
- Kronos.
You do NOT need VPN to remotely access the following resources:
- Box
- Canvas
- DORI
- Ingeniux CMS
- ListSERV
- Office 365 email
- Self-Service Banner (SSB)
- Slate CRM
- Starfish
- Zoom.
