How To: Deactivate a Microsoft Office License

Description

This article describes how to deactivate a Microsoft Office license. All University faculty, staff and students receive 5 free personal licenses of Microsoft Office. You may need to deactivate a license to install Microsoft Office on a new computer or device.

Steps

  1. Visit duq.edu/mail and sign in with your MultiPass username and password.
  2. Click the app launcher icon located in the top left corner.
  3. Click Office 365 in the app launcher menu.
  4. Click Install Office.
  5. After clicking Install Office, select Other install options.
  6. Select Apps and devices.
  7. In the box labeled Office, expand Devices.
  8. Click Sign Out next to the device you want to sign out from.
