How To: Install and Configure MiCollab for Mobile

Issue

Install MiCollab on mobile devices.

Resolution

Option 1: Configure MiCollab for Mobile using a QR Code

  1. On your Duquesne-managed computer, launch MiCollab Softphone.
  2. Click the Gear icon to open Settings, then navigate to the General page.

macOS Note: Access Settings from the top menu bar under MiCollab > Preferences.

  1. Select the Self Deployment option. A QR code will appear—leave this visible on screen.
  2. On your mobile device (Android or iOS):
  3. In the mobile app, select Scan QR Code.
  4. Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code from your computer screen.
  5. Tap Single Sign On.
  6. Sign in with your MultiPass credentials and approve the Duo authentication prompt.
  7. When greeted with the Welcome screen, swipe through or tap Skip.
  8. Accept the Emergency Calls warning.
  9. You are now signed in to MiCollab for Mobile.

 

Option 2: Configure MiCollab for Mobile without a QR Code

  1. On your mobile device:
    • Open the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS)
    • Search for MiCollab for Mobile, or use the links provided above.
    • Install and open the app.
  2. If prompted, read and accept the License Agreement.
  3. Tap the Mitel logo at the top of the screen to open the sign-in form.
  4. Enter the following on the next screen:
    • Hostname: vmas-37.hosted.voipnetworks.com
    • Email: Your Duquesne email address
    • Tap Next.
  5. Tap Single Sign On.
  6. Sign in using your MultiPass credentials and approve the Duo authentication prompt.
  7. You are now signed in to MiCollab for Mobile.
