Resolution
Requesting a Guest Account
As a guest, you may have been given a user name and password from your sponsor.
If you did not receive one:
- A Duquesne-affiliated individual must request access on your behalf.
- They can go to Request Guest Wi‑Fi Access.
- Select the Request Access option on top right and fill out the form to complete the request.
Note: All guests using DuqNet Guest are required to follow Duquesne University's TAP policies.
Connecting to Duqnet Guest
- Connect to the DuqNet Guest wireless network.
- When prompted, your browser should be redirected to a login page.
- If you receive a certificate warning, choose to accept and continue.
- Enter the provided username and password to gain access.
Connection Requirements and Limitations
Some security software, device settings, or network configurations may prevent a device from connecting to the Duquesne Guest wireless network.
You may experience issues connecting if:
- Antivirus or endpoint security software blocks the network authentication page
- Your device cannot accept or trust the network security certificate
- A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is enabled during connection
If you are unable to connect, try temporarily disabling VPN or security software and reconnecting. If the issue persists, your device may not be compatible with the Guest network requirements.
