Description
When you set up Zoom meetings through Blackboard, recordings will automatically be made available to students within your Blackboard site after the recordings have finished processing. Zoom’s On-demand registration feature can help you to limit recording viewing to only those students whom you approve to view the recording. The steps below will walk you through setting up the On-demand recording feature.
Steps
Setting Up On-Demand Registration
- After receiving an email notification that your recording has finished processing, sign into https://duq.zoom.us
- Click on the Recordings link, located on the left-hand menu
- Click on the name of the recording for which you wish to require registration
- Click the Share button
- Toggle the On-Demand (Registration Required) setting on
- Click Done
- Refresh the Zoom page
- Click on the Registration Settings link that now appears
- Choose your desired settings
- If you choose Manually Approve, an email will be sent to your Duquesne email account, which you can use to access your recording and approve or deny the user’s request to view your recording.
- Click Save All
Users will now be prompted to register to view the recording. Depending on the On-demand settings you chose, you may need to approve their requests by following the instructions below.
Approving View Requests
If you chose the option to manually approve registrations, you will receive an email notifying you of a registration. To approve or deny the request:
- Click on the Recording Detail Link provided in the email
- If prompted, sign in using your MultiPass credentials
- Click View Registrants
- Place a checkmark next to one or more Registrants, then select Approve or Deny
Students will receive an email indicating your selection. If you have approved them, they will receive another email containing a link with which they can view the recording.
