How to add University email to email clients and mobile device

Environment

Resolution

To add your Duquesne University email to an email client or mobile device, select Exchange as the email account provider. Follow the instructions for your platform below:

Microsoft Outlook for Windows OS

1. Click Start and search for Control Panel.
2. Click View by: and select Large Icons.
3. Select Mail (32-bit).
4. Click Show Profiles.
5. Click Add and enter a profile name.
6. If prompted, enter your Duquesne University email address and password.
7. Click Next.
8. Click Finish.

Microsoft Outlook for macOS

1. Open Outlook.
2. Click Tools > Accounts.
3. Click the + dropdown and select New Account.
4. Enter your Duquesne University email address and click Continue.
5. Enter your MultiPass password on the Duquesne University Email Login window and click Login.
6. Click Done.

Microsoft Outlook App for iOS and Android

1. Download the Microsoft Outlook app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Open Outlook.
3. Enter your Duquesne University email address and click Add Account.
4. Enter your MultiPass password on the Duquesne University Email Login window and click Login.

iOS Mail App

1. Go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts.
2. Click Add Account.
3. Select Exchange.
4. Enter your Duquesne University email address in the Email field.
5. Enter “Duquesne University” in the Description field and click Next.
6. Click Sign In.
7. Select Work or school account.
8. Enter your MultiPass password on the Duquesne University Email Login window and click Login.
9. Select the items you would like to sync to your phone and click Save.

macOS Mail App

1. Open Mail.
2. Click Mail (upper left-hand corner of the screen) > Accounts.
3. Select Exchange.
4. Enter your Duquesne University email address and password.
5. Click Sign In.
6. Select the items you would like to sync to your Mac and click Done.

Note:
Your University email address is your MultiPass username followed by “@duq.edu.” After setting up your MultiPass account, you can sign in to your University email account using your MultiPass username and password.
