Description
In some cases, faculty can enable an optional feature in Respondus LockDown Browser to record the screens of test-takers. On Mac, this requires some special permissions to be set by the test-taker. This article explains how to do so.
Steps
Note: This article assumes that you already have Respondus LockDown Browser installed on your Mac device.
- Launch the test you are trying to take in Respondus. If you have not yet given Respondus permissions to record your screen, you will be prompted with a screen saying "Screen Recording - Permission Needed."
- Click Continue on this prompt to close Respondus.
- Go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy.
- Click the lock icon in the lower left and enter your admin password.
- Click on "Camera" in the left-hand menu and check the box next to LockDown Browser.
