How To: Manage Your Devices in Duo

Attention:

Starting Tuesday, Feb. 11, the Duo Device Management Portal will be updated to replace the traditional Duo Multifactor Authentication (MFA) prompt with the same universal single sign-on (SSO) Duo prompt currently used across other University online services. This update also will introduce an upgraded design for managing devices, making the process more intuitive for users. The article will be updated with new screen shots and instructions on Feb. 11.

You can manage your Duo MFA devices using the Duo Device Management portal in the Duquesne Portal. Device management options include:

• Reactivate Duo Mobile: Reconnects the Duo Mobile app to a new mobile device.
• Change Device Name: Allows you to modify the device name.
• Delete Device: Unenrolls the selected device in Duo.

Instructions

1. Sign into the Duquesne Portal at www.duq.edu/portal.

2. Select Duo Device Management in the Quick Links menu.
         

3. Verify your login request with an already-enrolled device or passcode.

4. Click Device Options for the device you want to manage.
          

5. Choose Edit to remove or rename a device. Choose I have a new phone to reactive DUO Mobile or choose add a device to enroll a new device in DUO Mobile.

Note: 

• If you are activating the Duo Mobile app on a new smart phone, select Call Me when prompted to verify your log in request and enroll this new device. 
• CTS enabled Duo Restore, which allows you to back up Duo-protected accounts and third-party accounts for recovery to the same device or to a new device. For more information, please visit Duo's website regarding this feature: Duo Restore
