Lab Software Install Requests

Important Notice: Update to Windows 11 in Computer Labs - Summer 2024

The computer labs on campus will be updated to Windows 11 this summer. As part of this upgrade, all required software should be evaluated for Windows 11 compatibility to ensure a smooth transition for both students and faculty.

We kindly ask that faculty review any software applications you currently use in the labs and verify that they are compatible with Windows 11. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the upcoming Windows 11 update, please do not hesitate to contact the IT Service Desk at 412-396-4357.

CTS will complete software installations based on a first received, first completed basis. The table below outlines the time between requests, testing and installation.

Each instructor is responsible for testing the reliability and compatibility of their own software on the computers in a lab. You will receive a call from CTS to schedule a test of your software in the facility you have indicated. If you do not receive a call within five weeks prior to the start of the semester, please contact the IT Service Desk at 412.396.4357 (HELP) or help@duq.edu.

Unauthorized access to computer labs is strictly prohibited. Any and all preauthorized events take precedence over general University admittance. You can reserve a computer lab using 25Live, the University's scheduling system.
