Lab Software Install Requests
Important Notice: Computer Labs Updated to Windows 11
The computer labs on campus have been updated to Windows 11 as of fall 2025. As part of this upgrade, all required software should be evaluated for Windows 11 compatibility to ensure continued access for both students and faculty.
We kindly ask that faculty review any software applications you currently use in the labs and verify that they are compatible with Windows 11. If you have any questions or concerns regarding Windows 11 compatibility, please do not hesitate to contact the IT Service Desk at 412-396-4357.
CTS will complete software installations based on a first received, first completed basis. CTS must approve the requested software before installation, and installation will take place within 30 days.
Each instructor is responsible for testing the reliability and compatibility of their own software on the computers in a lab. You will receive a call from CTS to schedule a test of your software in the facility you have indicated.
Unauthorized access to computer labs is strictly prohibited. Any and all preauthorized events take precedence over general University admittance. You can reserve a computer lab using 25Live, the University's scheduling system.
